1/20/2024 0 Comments Good games on geforce now![]() ![]() If u want the real deal fidelity at 1440p or 4k with a still amenable 120hz then go with paid membership. Edit: free option in gfn is best for gamers that don't need higher then 1080p 60hz like my 3 year old daughter that doesn't know any better. 1440p is dying and 1080p is long gone thus why it is a free tier on gfn. I manage to stay competitive on bf5 with ultra ultra ultra while evening out about 30 fps or under on 4k. In fact the only reason I transfered to pc was because I realized how much I was missing visually playing my shit ps. It's almost a spit in the eye to say "most Pc players" your not paying 1,600$ + for a 3080 and using it on a crappy 1080 or 1440 screen. But there's plenty outside of fps games that are built for quality and not for lower ping rates for your dam flick shots. Games like battlefield and other fps can for sure. ![]() Not all games can even make use of 120 Hz. They want exclusivity for their games.Īnyway, if any of you have better information, please feel free to correct me. For example, Bethesda (owned by Microsoft) took down their games because of the new Microsoft Cloud gaming service. Why are they doing it? Good question, no official answer that I know of. In this context, streaming means playing that game on a dedicated machine that is hosted away on a server. One of those rules is, for some (all?) games, that you can not stream that game. That license allows you to play the game, but there are some rules attached to that license. How can they do that when you own the game on Steam/Epic? Nowadays, when you buy a game, you are buying a license (or something like that). However, the publishers can take down their games and many of them did. Many games, even from the biggest game publishers, used to be available for playing on GFN. Why does GFN support only a selection of games?Īs far as I know, it is not GFN fault. Summary: GeForce Now - chaotic neutral, Shadow PC - Chaotic good, Maximum PC - chaotic bad, Stadia - Chaotic chaotic. I won't even bother to comment on Maximum PC and Stadia which are both trying a method which is the equivalent of playing russian roulette with yourself. Shadow Pc is well.Shadow PC, a service I've used and if you plan on playing anything even mildly demanding you're wasting your money they get two things correct, give you you're own personal desktop and perfectly executed streaming options. The least chaotic way to do this right now is via GeForce Now when it comes to latency and stream quality, Boosteroid is what I consider to be second best but that's only available in Europe atm. Okay so most people who use GFN are calm people who are looking for a cheap alternative to play their games in these troubling times, If you already own a gaming PC and still use the founders, priority or 3080 tier.idk what's wrong with you see a specialist. I hope the program continues to grow and succeed, but I just can't make good use of it myself. ![]() ![]() I know they had a LEGAL right to remove their games from the service, but in terms of customer satisfaction it was basically a finger in the eye of people who already spend plenty of money, and just wanted a new way to play what they already paid for. It's a shame that publishers got so prickly about cloud computing. I don't stream at home, just at work or on road trips, so for me it was always an extension of my home library I was most interested in.ĭespite the impressive library expansion since then, it's never really met that expectation since, and now that I work somewhere with slower internet, there's really no upside left to my subscription. The big publisher exodus, in my case, vanished basically every game I was using the service for. When I signed up, it was more open-ended, there was a gray area of unsupported titles that could still be played as long as you owned it on steam. I ended up canceling my founders subscription this year, in part because of the library.
